Why we exist
Utility billing companies and property managers are stuck with legacy systems that are slow, brittle, and expensive to operate. Alaka’i exists to give them a modern, modular platform — and to prove that this overlooked corner of software can be world-class. We started because we saw the gap up close, and we knew it could be done dramatically better.

Our story
Alaka’i grew out of real operational experience running utility billing at scale — including the proven Anchor model. We’ve felt the pain of the old way and validated the new one with real clients. Now we’re turning that foundation into a platform and a team that can transform the industry.
The people behind Alaka’i
We’re a small, senior team spanning engineering, product, and operations — grown out of real experience running utility billing and property management operations at scale, and now building the platform to modernize the industry. Distributed across the US and India, we favor ownership, craft, and a healthy sense of humor over process for its own sake.
